My name is Ma Wai, and I am living with my family in Hpa-An Township. In our family, we have five family members. I have one daughter. In our village, most of the people are working on farming. My parents are works in farming for our livelihood.
Due to a lack of job opportunities in my hometown, I moved to Bangkok, Thailand, when I was 18 years old. I lived there for 13 years. After that, I returned home to look for work in
Hpa-an.
One day, I heard about ADRA Myanmar’s SEAQE2 project, which offers short course training in Hpa-An. I’m very interested, and I jumped at the chance to enroll in the training.
After the training, I applied for the startup grant from the project and received it. By receiving the startup grant from ADRA, I bought hair styling equipment. Then I started a small business as a joint venture with a friend in Yangon. There were a few difficulties when starting the business, but by continuing to learn while working, I am now able to run a business well. I received 50,000 MMK to 70,000 MMK a day as income.
Due to the knowledge that I gained from the training, I was able to start my small business and generate income. As a result, I was able to support the family every month.
I will try to fulfill the requirements for the success of the business going forward, and my dream is to escape the financial difficulties at some point and be able to do humanitarian work as well. The income will be used not only for the family but also for the continued expansion of the business.
ကျွန်မနာမည်က မဝေဖြစ်ပြီး ဘားအံမြို့မှာ မိသားစုနဲ့ အတူနေပါတယ်။ ကျွန်မတို့မိသားစုမှာ မိသားစုဝင်ငါးယောက်ရှိပြီး သမီးလေးတစ်ယောက်ရှိပါတယ်။ ကျွန်မတို့ရွာမှာ အများစုက တောင်ယာလုပ်ငန်းကို လုပ်ကိုင်ကြပါတယ်။ မိဘတွေကလည်း လယ်ယာလုပ်ငန်းနဲ့ အသက်မွေးဝမ်းကြောင်းပြုကြပါတယ်။
မွေးရပ်မြေမှာ အလုပ်အကိုင် အခွင့်အလမ်းနည်းပါးတာကြောင့် အသက် ၁၈ နှစ်မှာပဲ ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံ ဘန်ကောက်ကို ပြောင်းရွှေ့နေထိုင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ အဲဒီမှာ ၁၃ နှစ်နေခဲ့တယ်။ နောက်တော့လည်း ဒီမှာအလုပ်ရှာဖို့အတွက် အိမ်ကိုပြန်လာခဲ့ပါတယ်။
တစ်နေ့တော့ ဘားအံမှာ ရက်တိုသင်တန်းပေးနေတဲ့ ADRA Myanmar ရဲ့ SEAQE2 စီမံကိန်းအကြောင်း သိလိုက်ရတယ်။ အဲဒါနဲ့အရမ်းစိတ်ဝင်စားသွားပြီး သင်တန်းမှာ စာရင်းသွင်းဖို့ စိတ်ကူးရသွားတယ်။
သင်တန်းပြီးသွားတော့လည်း စီမံကိန်းကနေ ထောက်ပံ့ကြေးကို လျှောက်ထားပြီး လက်ခံရရှိခဲ့ပါတယ်။ အဲလို ထောက်ပံ့ငွေရတဲ့အခါ ဆံပင်ပုံသွင်းဖို့အတွက် လိုအပ်တဲ့ပစ္စည်းကိရိယာတွေကို ဝယ်ယူခဲ့ပါတယ်။ အဲဒီနောက် ရန်ကုန်မှာ သူငယ်ချင်းတစ်ယောက်နဲ့ ဖက်စပ်လုပ်ငန်းလေးတစ်ခုလုပ်တယ်။ လုပ်ငန်းစစချင်းမှာ အခက်အခဲအနည်းငယ်ရှိခဲ့ပေမယ့် လုပ်ငန်းခွင်မှာ ဆက်လက်လေ့လာသင်ယူခြင်းဖြင့် အခုဆို လုပ်ငန်းကို ကောင်းမွန်စွာ လည်ပတ်နိုင်နေပြီဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဝင်ငွေအနေနဲ့ တစ်ရက်ကို ငါးသောင်းကနေ ခုနစ်သောင်းကျပ် ရရှိခဲ့ပါတယ်။
သင်တန်းမှရရှိလာသည့် အသိပညာဗဟုသုတတွေကြောင့် လုပ်ငန်းအသေးစားကို စတင်နိုင်ခဲ့ပြီး ဝင်ငွေများရရှိစေပါသည်။ ယင်းရလဒ်အနေနဲ့ မိသားစုကို လတိုင်း ထောက်ပံ့နိုင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။
ရှေ့ဆက်လုပ်မယ့် လုပ်ငန်းအောင်မြင်မှုရဖို့အတွက် လိုအပ်ချက်တွေကို ဖြည့်ဆည်းဖို့ ကြိုးစားသွားမှာပါ၊ ပြီးတော့ ကျွန်မရဲ့ အိပ်မက်ကတော့ တစ်ချိန်ချိန်မှာ ငွေကြေးအခက်အခဲတွေကနေ လွတ်မြောက်ဖို့နဲ့ လူသားချင်းစာနာတဲ့ အလုပ်တွေကိုလည်း လုပ်နိုင်မှာပါ။ ဝင်ငွေကို မိသားစုအတွက်သာမက လုပ်ငန်းကို ဆက်လက်တိုးချဲ့သွားဖို့အတွက်လည်း အသုံးပြုသွားမှာပါ။
