Since COVID-19 broke out in Myanmar, ADRA Myanmar’s projects have had to adapt to changing situations as restrictions are put in place to reduce the spread of the infectious virus throughout the country.
In the AusAID and ADRA Australia funded and Livelihood based PRICE project located in Chin State, majority of activities revolve around trainings, workshops and other social gathering activities. Considering this, PRICE’s project activities were forced to come to a halt and unable to meet deadlines.
The PRICE project took redirection and project funding was reallocated for use in a distribution based COVID-19 response being granted approval in early May 2020. The pivot activities cover 17 villages in Matupi Township, Chin State and Gangaw Township, Magway Region. The 17 villages include; Antar, Yaungnet, Let Wea Kone, Ramsi, Nabung, Lungva, Lotaw, Shartalai, Sempi, Lungngo, Balei, Kilung, Vawti, Lungka, Reasaw, Theasea and Loring.
The COVID-19 response targeted 810 households with an estimation of 3,270 beneficiaries reaching 60% of the community on average. Distributions of key items included;
810 – Bags of rice (8 pyi per bag)
121 – Masks
65 – Hand gels
21 – Gloves
125 – Bars of soap
9 – Thermometer’s
7 – Hand wash basins
Distribution of awareness raising posters and pamphlets were also provided to target villages on health prevention. For medical tool kits, the Village Administration Committee’s handled and managed this alongside Government health workers. During the distribution activities, social distance was maintained with chalk circles drawn on the ground or chairs separated and every person wore a mask.
Transportation of response items was achieved through hired trucks that drove from Gangaw to Lungngo village and on the backs of motorbikes where access to the more remote villages from Lungngo is difficult due to the condition of roads. Men from Lungka, Reasaw, Theasea and Loring villages assisted with carrying rice bags by motorbike to the remote villages.
Since distributions began in mid May, 90% of activities have been completed. ADRA Myanmar is continuing to plan COVID-19 responses across several projects and sectors.
PRICE စီမံကိန်းက ချင်းပြည်နယ်အတွင်း COVID-19 တုံ့ပြန်ကာကွယ်ရေးလုပ်ဆောင်
မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင် ကိုရိုနာဗိုင်းရပ်စ်စတင်ဖြစ်ပွားချိန်မှစတင်၍ နိုင်ငံတစ်ဝန်းတွင် ကူးစက်ရောဂါပျံ့နှံ့မှုကို လျှော့ချရန် ကန့်သတ်ချက်များချမှတ်ထားသဖြင့် ADRA Myanmar ၏ စီမံကိန်းများသည် ပြောင်းလဲမှု အခြေအနေများနှင့်အညီ လိုက်လျောညီထွေဖြစ်အောင်ပြုပြင်လုပ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ရသည်။
AusAID နှင့် ADRA သြစတြေးလျတို့၏ ငွေကြေးထောက်ပံ့မှုဖြင့် ချင်းပြည်နယ်အတွင်း အသက်မွေးဝမ်းကျောင်းမှုအခြေခံသည့် PRICE စီမံကိန်းတွင် အများစုသော လှုပ်ရှားမှုများသည် သင်တန်းများ၊ အလုပ်ရုံဆွေးနွေးပွဲများနှင့် အခြားလူမှုရေးစုရုံးမှုများနှင့် သက်ဆိုင်နေသည်။ ယင်းအကြောင်းရင်းကြောင့် PRICE စီမံကိန်းလှုပ်ရှားမှုများကို ရပ်တန့်ခဲ့ရပြီး သတ်မှတ်ထားသည့်ရက်များအတွင်း မပြည့်မီနိုင်ခြင်းတို့ ရှိခဲ့သည်။
ယင်းနောက် PRICE စီမံကိန်းသည် မေလအစောပိုင်းတွင် ဖြန့်ဖြူးရေးအခြေပြု COVID-19 တုံ့ပြန်ရေးတွင် အသုံးပြုရန်အတွက် ခွင့်ပြုချက်ရရှိခဲ့ပြီး စီမံကိန်းရန်ပုံငွေကို ပြန်လည်ခွဲဝေချထားခဲ့ကာ စီမံကိန်းလုပ်ဆောင်မှုများကို ပြောင်းလဲအကောင်အထည်ဖော်ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့သည်။
မကွေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီး၊ ဂန့်ဂေါမြို့နယ်နှင့် ချင်းပြည်နယ်၊ မတူပီမြို့နယ်တို့အတွင်းရှိ ရှတလိုင်း၊ လုံးငိုးနှင့် ရမ်စီး အစရှိသည့် ကျေးရွာ ၁၇ ရွာတို့တွင် ကိုရိုနာဗိုင်းရပ်စ်ကာကွယ်ရေးနှင့် တုံ့ပြန်ဆောင်ရွက်ရေးလုပ်ငန်းများကို ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့သည်။
COVID-19 တုံ့ပြန်ချက်သည် တွက်ချက်မှုများအရ အိမ်ထောင်စုပေါင်း ၈၁၀ ကို အဓိကပစ်မှတ်ထားကာ လုပ်ဆောင်ခြင်းဖြစ်ပြီး လူဦးရေ ၃၂၇၀ ဦးသည် အကျိုးခံစားခွင့်ရှိမည်ဖြစ်ကာ ပျှမ်းမျှအားဖြင့် ရပ်ရွာ၏ ၆၀ ရာခိုင်နှုန်းအထိရှိနေသည်။
ကိုဗစ်တုံ့ပြန်ရေးအတွက် ကျေးရွာများသို့ အောက်ပါပစ္စည်းများကိုဖြန့်ဝေထားသည်။

ထို့ပြင်ကျေးရွာများသို့ ကြိုတင်ကာကွယ်ရေးအတွက် ကျန်းမာရေးဆိုင်ရာအသိပညာပေးပိုစတာများနှင့် လက်ကမ်းစာစောင်များကိုလည်း ဖြန့်ဝေခဲ့သည်။ ဆေးဘက်ဆိုင်ရာပစ္စည်းများအတွက် ကျေးရွာအုပ်ချုပ်ရေး ကော်မတီက ကျန်းမာရေးဆိုင်ရာဝန်ထမ်းများနှင့်အတူ ကိုင်တွယ်စီမံဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိသည်။
အဆိုပါပစ္စည်းများကိုဖြန့်ဝေသည့်လှုပ်ရှားမှုအတွင်း၌လည်း တစ်ဦးနှင့်တစ်ဦးနီးကပ်ခြင်းမရှိစေရန် social distancing ကို အလေးထားသောအားဖြင့် သတ်မှတ်အကွာအဝေးဖြင့် စည်းတားခြင်း၊ ထိုင်ခုံများကိုနေရာချဲ၍ ချထားခြင်းတို့ကိုလုပ်ဆောင်ကာ လူအများကိုလည်း နှာခေါင်းစည်းများကိုဝတ်ဆင်စေခဲ့သည်။
ဂန့်ဂေါမှ လုံငိုးကျေးရွာသို့သွားရောက်ရာတွင်လမ်းအခြေအနေအခက်အခဲရှိခြင်းကြောင့် သွားလာရခက်ခဲသည့် နေရာများသို့ ပစ္စည်းများဖြန့်ဝေရာတွင်လည်း မော်တော်ယာဥ်ပေါ်မှတစ်ဆင့် ဆိုင်ကယ်များဖြင့် သယ်ယူပို့ဆောင်ခဲ့ရသည်။ ဝေးလံသည့်ကျေးရွာများသို့ မော်တော်ဆိုင်ကယ်ဖြင့် ဆန်အိတ်များသယ်ယူပို့ဆောင်ရေးတွင်လည်း ကျေးရွာအသီးသီးမှ ဒေသခံအမျိုးသားများက ဝိုင်းဝန်းကူညီပေးခဲ့သည်။
အဆိုပါဖြန့်ဝေမှုများကို မေလလယ်မှစတင်လုပ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ရာ စီမံကိန်းလှုပ်ရှားမှုအားလုံး ၉၀ ရာခိုင်နှုန်း ပြီးစီးခဲ့ပြီး ADRA Myanmar သည် COVID-19 တုံ့ပြန်ဆောင်ရွက်ရေးလုပ်ငန်းများကို စီမံကိန်းအသီးသီးမှတစ်ဆင့်ဆက်လက်လုပ်ဆောင်ရန်လည်းစီစဉ်ထားရှိပါသည်။
