This month, the MFAT and ADRA New Zealand funded SURE project conducted Farmer Field School (FFS) Training for 75 farmers in 8 project villages.
The FFS training, led by the Extension Workers (EWs), teaches farmers in systematically cultivating paddy and maize as well as teaching good agricultural practices in accordance with the Department of Agriculture’s guidelines.
17 EWs organized the FFS training following the ‘Training of Trainers’ program which is supported by SURE projects SALT Assistants and Agriculture Officer in Sempi Village. This Training of Trainers program teaches EWs on the various plant development stages during paddy season for Azola + GAP, of which there are 6. The EWs then go back to their villages to conduct theory and practical FFS training for paddy farmers to become skilled in good agricultural practices to support sustainable development.
Since this training has been successful thus far, the SURE project plans to conduct a paddy field exhibition by inviting paddy farmers to watch the various paddy harvesting stages and production processes. In addition, the project will select and train farmers who are interested in growing vegetables such as potato, onion and peppers to continue the FFS training program.

MFAT နှင့် ADRA New Zealand တို့၏ ရန်ပုံငွေထောက်ပံ့မှုဖြင့် အကောင်အထည်ဖော်ဆောင်ရွက်နေသော SURE စီမံကိန်းသည် စီမံကိန်းဆောင်ရွက်ရာ ကျေးရွာ ၈ ရွာမှ စိတ်ပါဝင်စားသူ တောင်သူလယ်သမား ၇၅ ဦးအတွက် တောင်သူသင်တန်းကျောင်း( FFS) သင်တန်းကို ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့သည်။
အဆိုပါသင်တန်းတွင် Extension Worker များက ဦးဆောင်ပြီး တောင်သူလယ်သမားများအနေဖြင့် စပါးနှင့် ပြောင်း စိုက်ပျိုးရာတွင် စနစ်တကျစိုက်ပျိုးတတ်စေရန်နှင့် စိုက်ပျိုးရေးဆိုင်ရာ အလေ့အကျင့်ကောင်းများကို ရရှိစေရန်အတွက် စိုက်ပျိုးရေးဦးစီးဌာန၏ နည်းလမ်းများအတိုင်း လိုက်ပါဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်ရန် လေ့ကျင့်သင်ကြားပေးခြင်းလည်းဖြစ်ပါသည်။
ယင်းသင်တန်းကို စိုက်ပျိုးရေးတာဝန်ခံကဦးဆောင်ပြီး Salt Assistant နှစ်ဦးက ပံ့ပိုးကူညီခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်ကာ Extension Worker များက ဆဲမ်ပီးကျေးရွာတွင် ဆရာဖြစ်သင်တန်းကို တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ပြီးနောက် ၎င်းတို့၏သက်ဆိုင်ရာကျေးရွာအလိုက် FFS သင်တန်းများကို ပြန်လည်ဆောင်ရွက်ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။
သင်တန်းအတွင်း စပါးသီးနှံရာသီ၌ စပါးသီးနှံ( အဇိုလာ+ GAP) စံပြပြကွက်တွင် အပင်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ ဖြစ်ထွန်းမှုအဆင့်ဆင့်ကို အပင်သက်တမ်းအလိုက် သီးနှံတစ်ရာသီအတွင်း ခြောက်ကြိမ်၊ စာတွေ့၊ လက်တွေ့ဆောင်ရွက်ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ တောင်သူလယ်သမားများအတွက် ရေရှည်တည်တံ့သော ဖွံ့ဖြိုးရေးကိုအထောက်အကူပြုရန်နှင့် ကောင်းမွန်သော စိုက်ပျိုးရေးဆိုင်ရာ အလေ့အကျင့်များရရှိစေရန်အပါအဝင် ကျွမ်းကျင်သောတောင်သူလယ်သမားများဖြစ်လာစေရန်အတွက် Extension Worker များ အနေဖြင့် ၎င်းတို့တာဝန်ကျရာကျေးရွာများတွင် ဆင့်ပွားသင်တန်းများကိုပြန်လည်ပို့ချမည်ဖြစ်သည်။
အဆိုပါသင်တန်းသည် ယခုအချိန်တွင် ဒေသနှင့် သင့်တော်ကိုက်ညီကာ အောင်မြင်မှုလည်းရရှိနေပြီဖြစ်ရာ SURE စီမံကိန်းအနေဖြင့် စပါးရိတ်သိမ်းခြင်းအဆင့်ဆင့်နှင့် ထုတ်လုပ်မှုလုပ်ငန်းစဥ်များကို တောင်သူများကိုယ်တိုင်ကြည့်ရှုလေ့လာနိုင်ရန်အတွက် တောင်သူကွင်းပြပွဲကိုလည်း ကျင်းပနိုင်ရန် စီစဥ်ဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိပါသည်။ ထို့ပြင်စီမံကိန်းအနေဖြင့် အာလူး၊ ကြက်သွန်၊ ငရုတ်စသည့် ဟင်းသီးဟင်းရွက်သီးနှံများ စိုက်ပျိုးခြင်းနှင့် ပတ်သက်၍လည်း ကျွမ်းကျင်သောတောင်သူလယ်သမားများ ဖြစ်လာစေရန်အတွက် စိတ်ပါဝင်စားသော တောင်သူများကို ရွေးချယ်၍ တောင်သူသင်တန်းကျောင်းကို ဆက်လက်ဆောင်ရွက်သွားမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။
