The SURE project, funded by MFAT and ADRA New Zealand has recently completed a response to COVID-19. Thanks to a reallocation of funds, the SURE project has provided emergency food rations of rice, cooking oil and 2,751 viss of beans in Myanmar’s Northern Chin State.
917 households were targeted in 14 villages including; Laung Va, Lotaw, Shatlai, Sempi, Lungngo, Balei, Kilung, Voti, Lungka, Resaw, Htesi, Loring, Lung Daw, and Tharyarkone.
The Chin State remains one of the most remote and least developed areas in Myanmar where 70% of the population live below the poverty line. Beneficiaries like 75 year old U Bok Ki were overjoyed to receive the food items at such a time.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Myanmar, ADRA staff have been unable to visit the project sites for monitoring since March 2020 when restrictions came into effect. Thankfully, these restrictions have progressively eased and it is through the strong ties established with the local communities over the years, that work has carried on.
COVID-19 တုံ့ပြန်ရေးအတွက် SURE စီမံကိန်းမှ စားနပ်ရိက္ခာများ ဖြန့်ဝေပေးခြင်း
MFAT နှင့် ADRA နယူးဇီလန်တို့က ငွေကြေးထောက်ပံ့ထားသော SURE စီမံကိန်းသည် မကြာသေးမီက ကိုရိုနာဗိုင်းရပ်စ် တုံ့ပြန်ကာကွယ်ရေးလုပ်ငန်းများကို လုပ်ဆောင်ခဲ့သည်။ ရန်ပုံငွေများကိုပြန်လည်ခွဲဝေချထားခဲ့မှုကြောင့် SURE စီမံကိန်းသည် ချင်းပြည်နယ်မြောက်ပိုင်းတွင် ဆန်၊ ဆီနှင့် ပဲပိဿာချိန် ၂၇၅၁ စသည့်အရေးပေါ်စားနပ်ရိက္ခာများကို ထောက်ပံ့ပေးခဲ့သည်။
လောင်ဗား၊ လိုတော်၊ ရှတလိုင်း၊ ဆဲမ်ပီး၊ လုံးငိုး၊ ဘလေး၊ ကေလုံး၊ ဝေါ်တီး၊ လုံကား၊ ရေဆော၊ ထယ်ဆီး၊ လုံရိန်း၊ လုံဒေါနှင့် သာယာကုန်းကျေးရွာစသည့် ကျေးရွာ ၁၄ ရွာတို့မှ အိမ်ထောင်စုပေါင်း ၉၁၉ စုအတွက် အဓိကထား၍ ထောက်ပံ့ပေးခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။
ချင်းပြည်နယ်သည် လမ်းပန်းဆက်သွယ်ရေးအရအခက်အခဲရှိရာအဝေးဆုံးနှင့် လူဦးရေ ၇၀ ရာခိုင်နှုန်းသည် ဆင်းရဲနွမ်းပါးမှု အဆင့်အောက်ရှိသောပြည်နယ်တစ်ခုလည်းဖြစ်သည်။ အသက် ၇၅ နှစ်အရွယ်ရှိပြီဖြစ်သော ဦီးဘောက်ခ်ကီကဲ့သို့သော အကျိုးခံစားခွင့်ရှိသူများသည် ယင်းအခြေအနေတွင် စားနပ်ရိက္ခာအထောက်အပံ့ ရရှိသောအခါ အလွန်ဝမ်းမြောက်ခဲ့ကြသည်။
ကိုရိုနာဗိုင်းရပ်စ်စတင်ဖြစ်ပွားချိန်၂၀၂၀ ပြည့်နှစ်၊ မတ်လအတွင်းမှစ၍ အကန့်အသတ်များရှိနေသောကြောင့် ADRA ဝန်ထမ်းများသည် စီမံကိန်းအကောင်အထည်ဖော်ရာနေရာများသို့ သွားရောက်လေ့လာခြင်းတို့ မပြုလုပ်နိုင်ခဲ့ပေ။ ကျေးဇူးတင်စရာအနေဖြင့် ကန့်သတ်ချက်များကို တစ်ဖြည်းဖြည်းလျှော့ချပေးခဲ့ပြီးနောက်တွင်မူ ဒေသခံလူထုနှင့် နှစ်ပေါင်းများစွာ ခိုင်မာသည့်ဆက်ဆံရေးရှိခဲ့ခြင်းကြောင့် စီမံကိန်းလုပ်ငန်းများကို ဆက်လက်ဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်ခဲ့သည်။
